What is Benefit X?
Benefit X is an annual, private fundraising event in Bellingham, Washington
that has donated to selected charities since 1998.
We believe in being inclusive, celebrating our (extended) community,
creating partnerships between businesses and service organizaions, and making a difference by working together.
Benefit X aims to generate an awareness for the represented organizations through an annual fundraising event,
and we work year-round to network supplies and support to non profits and individuals in the community who need it.
We are all volunteers, and do this because we like to,
and because underneath our tough exterior, we're all warm and fuzzy inside.
Benefit X night includes music, comedy (inadvertant),
dancing (you know what happens when you dance), floor shows (unplanned), and both silent and live auctions.
Usually.
This year, we are busy watching the election debates and wringing our hands,
so we may make things a bit more, well, elementary, my dear.
We like being different, and we particularly enjoy being contrary, so come join us and see what we come up with.
If you're an alumni, we hope to see you again in 2012; if you're new, we can't wait to meet you.
